Conservation Council Conference - Central Tasmania
Event description
Following the momentum gained from the conferences in May, Environment Tasmania will be hosting a similar conference this September 22nd. This time, it will be a singular conference in central Tasmania.
It will provide another opportunity for us to come together, strengthening the environmental movement and increasing connectivity between Tasmania’s environmental groups.
September’s conference has been designed to be more open and slightly slower paced than the conferences in May, with a greater emphasis on strategy.
Our current vision for the day is as follows:
- Coffee, tea and cake
- A round of introductions and updates from each rep
- Q&A: What mechanisms could we, as a collective or just Environment Tasmania, put in place to allow us to work together more effectively?
- Workshop 1: Movement Mapping
- Lunch
- Q&A: Climate, Energy & Biodiversity: How can we dispel the misinformation and conflict in this space and collectively present outcomes that benefit nature and society?
- Workshop 2: Increasing the political influence of Tasmania’s environmental movement
- Drinks and close
It will be a day long (10:00 to 16:30), fully catered event. A full programme will be shared closer to the time.
We very much look forward to hosting you.
Please note:Â
- Due to capacity constraints this will be an invite-only event
- We ask that one representative per group attends
- The event is in-person and will not be live streamed
