Constellating for our Planet
Description
🌏 Constellations for our Planet
Meeting climate grief in community
An embodied gathering to reconnect with belonging and cultivate active hope
This event is hosted by School of Being, as part of Climate Action Week (CAW) 2026.
You care about the state of the world.
You feel the weight of what’s happening.
You’re not always sure what to do with what you feel.
This one-day experiential gathering offers space to pause.
To feel. To sit with others who care as deeply as you do.
Together, we reconnect with what sustains life and strengthen our capacity to respond to climate change with greater clarity and hope.
Joanna Macy reminds us that what threatens us most is not the crisis itself, but the numbing of our response. Our grief and anger are not weaknesses. They are signs of love. When the heart breaks open, it makes space for renewal.
This day is an invitation to honour that love.
To deepen belonging.
To reconnect with the more-than-human world.
To remember we are not separate from the web of life.
What this workshop offers
Guided by Joanna Macy’s Work That Reconnects and systemic constellation practice, we explore how climate change lives not only “out there” ... .but within us, our relationships, and the systems we are part of.
You will experience:
Systemic constellation processes that surface what is often unseen or unspoken
Reflection and shared inquiry in community
Space to honour grief, love and uncertainty
Practices that cultivate active hope and embodied discernment
A way of responding rather than reacting
Constellations help make visible the relational dynamics shaping our responses of overwhelm, urgency, disconnection, paralysis, and what becomes possible when relationship is restored.
Who this day is for
This day is for you if:
You feel emotionally affected by climate change
You carry worry or grief and don’t know where to put it
You want to stay open-hearted without burning out
You long to connect with others who care deeply
You’re curious about embodied, relational ways of meeting complexity
No prior experience is needed.
What you may leave with
Participants often leave with:
Relief from carrying this alone
A stronger sense of belonging
Greater clarity about their own response
Renewed connection to the living world
A lighter heart and a felt sense of possibility
What to expect on the day
This is an in-person, small group gathering.
You’ll move between whole-group and small-group processes, guided embodied practices, reflection and moments of pause.
Participation is always invitational.
You are free to engage in ways that feel right for you.
A note on care
We facilitate with a trauma-informed approach, attending to pacing, consent and nervous system support. The intention is to create a space where depth, care and clarity can emerge safely.

What participants say about our constellation workshops
“Wow! What an incredible experience. I went in without any expectations and not really knowing what Systemic Constellations was – only a vague idea based on what I knew about family constellations. I was just really curious. From the first practice, which was a simple paired practice, I was so surprised about how tangible the experience was. When we moved into the larger group constellations, seeing and experiencing how profound they were for us all – whether it was about a system we brought or a system that we were representing a part of. I saw how revelatory this practice is and what it can do for each of us. I will definitely be returning and have already shared this with others. Thanks to Viv and Jax for the space that they held for us and the guidance through the process.” – Jen
“Jax and Viv’s Systemic Constellations workshop was immensely valuable for me. Being able to feel, see and respond to my challenges in the cocoon of the intimate group and trustworthy container they generated has already shifted so much which seemed blocked. Together they tend with great care and skill to ensure an accessible, nourishing and deep learning environment is created. Impeccable in every way!” –Robyn
“The space felt safe, respectful, and supportive. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but found myself exploring openly alongside a group of curious, non-judgemental strangers who quickly began to feel like one connected energy. There was a sense of shared presence that was both surprising and moving. It was a powerful, memorable experience and offered me insights I’ll carry with me as I navigate my own personal challenges.” – Eileen
“My experience of the Systems Constellations event with Viv and Jax was of being warmly welcomed into a quality of connection and relationship with a group that allowed for a depth of personal exploration and of celebration. I left the session feeling embodied and grounded in my being and delighted from the experience of being closely connected and supported by the community. Thank you.”
