Constitution Review Workshop for Incorporated Societies - Queenstown
Event description
Is your constitution fit for purpose?
The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 came into effect on 5 October 2023, bringing significant changes for all incorporated societies in New Zealand. To stay registered, existing societies must reregister under the new Act by April 2026, or risk being removed from the register altogether, which can have an impact on your funding and operations. To reregister, you'll need to make sure your constitution complies with the 2022 Act, so it's a good time to think about how your organisation runs and whether your rules and processes are fit for purpose.
huddl has teamed up with Aspiring Law again to offer a free workshop designed to help your group understand the new Act and help you update your organisation's constitution to comply with the changes. Our February session was a great success, with 100% of survey respondents rating it Excellent or Very Good.
We welcome you to bring along your questions and we'll help you get started with the process.
