Event description

Australian Christian Legal Society is delighted to present: "Christian Inspiration and Constitutional Insights" with His Honour Patrick Keane AC KC.

Join us for an enlightening lecture featuring a distinguished former High Court Justice as we explore the profound connections between the Bible and the Australian Constitution and legal framework. This engaging presentation will delve into how Christian principles have subtly influenced the development of modern Australian law and the nation's legal framework, as well as the legal frameworks of other nations.

The lecture will be presented by His Honour Patrick Keane AC KC. His Honour formally served as a High Court justice in the High Court of Australia and currently serves in the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. The lecture will be chaired by the Honourable Justice Michael Meek of the NSW Supreme Court.

This event will also include the launch of Dr Mark Fowler’s new book, ‘Beauty and the Law’. Pre-order your copy from our ACLS website and pick it up at the launch!

This lecture has previously been presented in Queensland in collaboration with Queensland Christian Legal Society, and was titled the Bruce McPherson Memorial Lecture. His Honour will also be presenting the lecture in Melbourne on 23 October. If you wish to attend in Melbourne, please visit this page to buy a ticket.
