    Event description

This is a paid opportunity for anyone aged 15 to 24 who would like to help a service make evaluation and research more accessible.

Please note: Signups for this event will close on Friday 1 December to allow us time to make access needs and bookings available. We cannot accept signups after this date.

Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) and YDAS are evaluating a program BSL run called ‘Inclusive Pathways to Employment’. The program has been run for the first time. It is for disabled people who can’t access standard Transition to Employment services. Transition to Employment or Work services help build the skills, confidence and experience people need to reach their work goals. BSL wants your help to give feedback and ideas on how to make interviews with young people better. This will help them make their evaluation better and more accessible and inclusive to disabled young people.

They are looking for a diverse or wide range of backgrounds, disabilities and experience. This will help them get different perspectives and make the results better.

    When: Thursday 7 December 2023 at 5:30-7:30pm.

Where: Hybrid, meaning you can either attend online via Zoom, or in-person at the YACVic Office Boardroom, Level 2, 235 Queen Street, Melbourne.

Payment: $100 for two hours of attendance. (Sometimes people try to scam these events, so we will ask to verify you are who you say you are at the start of this consultation.)

What: You will be asked a series of questions about interviewing and providing feedback, and we will get everyone to share their thoughts and feelings. If you attend, you will need to contribute. We will send the agenda and questions early so you have some time to think and prepare.

If you have any questions, contact Simon Green (he/him) Tuesday to Friday on 0447 678 653 by either phone or text message.
