In Touch: Somatic Exploration Through Contact and Movement
Event description
Join a 2-hour journey into body awareness, conscious movement, and embodied connection.
In touch is an exploration of movement, trust, and creativity, designed to help you connect more deeply with yourself, others, and the natural world through conscious movement practices.
The theme for this workshop will be slowing down and becoming present, I am excited to share this theme and bring the group deeper into their bodies and out of their minds. I am practicing very consciously to slow down in all aspects of my life and that includes the way I run these workshops and spaces. As I want to bring attendees an experience of presence in the moment and not rush through any of the practices, this is the perfect theme to really bring this into practice.
In touch blends contact improvisation, mindfulness, and partner work to cultivate presence, spontaneity, and fluidity. You’ll move through guided practices that draw on how we relate to move through the world.
What You’ll Experience:
Guided practices that invite you to slow down through movement, breath, and connection.
Partner and group exercises the will bring you into the present moment
A chance to step out of your thinking mind and into your body.
Moments of stillness and integration where insights can settle, leaving you with a deeper sense of wholeness and connection to self and others.
Whether you're a dancer, or simply curious, this workshop is open to all levels. No prior experience or partner is needed, just a willingness to explore and move. The workshop is very much focused on connection and not so much on technically how to move, that is open to you.
Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and an open heart.
