Contend Conference 2025
Event description
Contend 2025 turns outward to the reality of domestic and family violence on the Central Coast, inviting our community into informed prayer that leads to action. We’ll hear from Josh Dowton (Northside Baptist Church) on how their church has responded and formed partnerships for real impact. A panel of local experts will brief us on the situation on the Coast, and a practical Active Bystander workshop will equip us with skills and resources to respond safely and wisely. We’ll close the day in united prayer—seeking God’s heart and discerning tangible steps for our homes, streets, and networks. Across the day we’ll listen, learn, and practise courageous compassion. We’ll gather to learn, reflect, and commit to hopeful change. All are welcome—whether you’re exploring the issue, seeking ways to help, or ready to pray. Pastors, parents, educators, and community workers are especially encouraged to attend.
