    Note: Change of Date

Due to multiple illnesses within the organisation, in the interest of public health, this concert will be postponed until August 5th, at 7pm.

Newcastle Wind Orchestra are proud to present their first concert of 2023 - Continental Drift.
This concert features a range of composers and pieces from all over the world!

Following the immense success of Bulgarian Dances Part 1, Composer Franco Cesarini has followed in the genre with his Bulgarian Dances Part II. The program is supported by the Armenian Rhapsody by Johnny Vinson. Ron Nelson's Rocky Point Holiday is a staple of American band literature, and this is the first time Newcastle Wind Orchestra has performed it. Inspiring arrangements of vocal works such as O Magnum Mysterium, Canterbury Chorale, and Eric Whitacres Seal Lullaby are featured in the program. By popular demand, NWO will play the fabulous score from How to Train Your Dragon!

This concert is not one to be missed! We are delighted to perform in the beautiful Harold Lobb Concert Hall, at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music.
