Continuing Professional Development: Autistic experiences of Autism, mental health, and subjective wellbeing

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This workshop will now be pre-recorded and a link will be sent to all attendees on Saturday 4 December.

As a professional supporting Autistic individuals, how confident are you that you understand the unique ways your Autistic clients experience co-occurring mental health conditions? Or the ways in which they achieve and feel subjective wellbeing?

Join Dr Melanie Heyworth to explore the differences in the ways Autistic people experience happiness and quality of life: what is Autistic happiness? What makes a good Autistic life? What priorities and conditions set us up for lifelong success and wellbeing?

This continuing professional development workshop is suitable for any allied health, educational, or medical professional whose role includes goal-setting for Autistic individuals or who is interested in promoting Autistic happiness beyond stereotypes and generalisations. A professional development certificate will be issued to attendees equivalent to 2 CPD hours.

Please note that this workshop will assume a thorough knowledge of Autism and neurodiversity. We recommend that professionals undertake Reframing Autism's introductory professional development workshop before enrolling in continuing PD opportunities.

So that you are able to view the workshop at a time that is suitable for you and can revisit it if needed in the future, all attendees will have ongoing access to the recording of the workshop.

Ticket sales close 5pm Friday 3 December (AEDT)
