Contracts underpin virtually every commercial relationship. Yet, many professionals are required to negotiate, review, and administer agreements without a formal legal background. A lack of understanding of fundamental contract law principles can expose organizations to unnecessary legal disputes, financial losses, and costly commercial mistakes.

The Contract Law Fundamentals for Non-Lawyers Masterclass, held in Brisbane on 17th February 2027, is a practical, full-day program designed to bridge this gap. Using plain English rather than complex legal jargon, this masterclass demystifies the core principles of contract formation, execution, and common business agreements. Participants will learn how binding contracts are formed, identify critical contractual risks, and discover practical strategies to manage potential compliance issues before they escalate.

Beyond formation, the program examines what happens when relationships break down, covering breaches of contract, termination rights, remedies, and dispute resolution. It also addresses modern challenges like electronic contracting and digital transactions. Through real-world case studies, delegates will leave equipped to communicate effectively with legal advisers, negotiate with greater confidence, and make informed commercial decisions that protect their organization’s long-term interests.
