Event description

Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.

Whether you’re looking to win new clients, grow your business by submitting requests for tender or market your business better, a capability statement can help.

A capability statement outlines what you can offer potential clients and provides the essential details to help them decide whether to do business with you. It can also be used to open doors to new suppliers or incorporated into tender documents.

For this workshop you will need to bring a laptop.

This topic covers:
  • How tenders fit into the procurement process and the requirements for developing a compliant and competitive bid.

  • Locate tender opportunities and identify tenders that may be right for your business.

  • The importance of capability statements and how to prepare one.

  • Your obligations when engaging contractors.

  • How procurement can benefit your business.

This session is for businesses wishing to submit tenders or contracts to grow their business.

The facilitator of this topic, Executive Director Mark Small, has more than 13 years of experience in management with more than 10 years serving in executive positions including General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, President and Chairman. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety and an Adjunct Lecturer with Edith Cowan University. Elect Training and Consulting is a provider of workplace health and safety solutions, providing organisations with the tools to thrive in safe and healthy working environments.
