We have regular contra dances at our Monday Night Folk Dances on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, so you can put your new found skills from the workshop into practice at the dance on Monday, 5th August. If you want to brush up beforehand, come to our regular contra dances on 1st and 15th July.
Contra dancing is a lively, social folk dance style from the USA which is moderately aerobic and highly addictive. Done to simple walking steps, it features flowing movements, swings and twirls, and a chance to dance with everyone in the room.
