Event description

Are you curious about altered states of consciousness?

Have you entered an altered state of being through breathwork, yoga, psychedelics or deep meditation?

Maybe you've had a spontaneous experience that differed vastly from your usual reality.

Or perhaps you’re simply searching for deeper meaning in life, or just curious about the possibilities?

I invite you to join Consciousness Collective’s conversation circle, a safe space for people to share experiences, build community, and support one another in integrating these transformative moments.

Everyone is welcome here! Whether you’ve had some experiences before or are simply exploring for the first time.

Background:

Interest in psychedelics and other ways of accessing altered states of consciousness—through meditation, breath-work, lucid dreaming, and alternative therapies—is rapidly growing in Western cultures. These experiences often lead to profound shifts in perspective, offering better mental health, deeper authenticity, and a renewed sense of purpose. However, these transformations can also feel disorienting or even overwhelming, particularly when we lack the cultural or community support to process and integrate them.

In many traditional cultures, elders or community members might guide you through these experiences, helping you understand and integrate them into your life. However, in modern Western society, such guidance is often less accessible. As we navigate career pressures, relationships, and societal expectations, it can be challenging to reconcile these transformative experiences with the world around us. Feeling misunderstood or isolated is not uncommon when others may not fully grasp the changes you've undergone.

It’s often believed that these communities are typically found in exotic places like Bali or Byron Bay. Consciousness Collective is that space here in Canberra. You’d be surprised at just how many people in our bush capital are knowingly or unknowingly a part of this space.

Talking about these experiences with other like-minded individuals can help us better navigate through this space. It’s also a great way to meet other people who share similar interests!
