Conversation with Lauren Fleshman
Description
Wellington Scottish Athletics Club is pleased to invite you to an evening in conversation with Lauren Fleshman.
Lauren is an award winning author and one of the most decorated American distance runners of all time, having won five NCAA championships at Stanford and two national championships as a professional. Her debut book, Good for a Girl, was a New York Times Bestseller.
Drawing on her own experience and research on the physiology and psychology of young athletes, of any gender, Fleshman argues the time has come to rebuild our systems of competitive sport with women at their centre.
This conversation will be of interest to anyone who runs, coaches runners or cares about runners. It is for everyone curious about how we can work together to build a system – at community as well as competitive levels - that cares for all athletes regardless of gender.
