Conversations with Families and Friends OPMHS - FACE TO FACE
Event description
The Conversations with Families and Friends Program is an education and information program that is for those who have lived or living experience supporting a family member or friend who has or does live with:
- Mental ill health
- Suicidality, and or
- Alcohol and other drug use.
The program provides education and information opportunities for families and friends to hear from guest speakers from mental health and AOD services who share information and education on topics that are important to families and friends.
This month, we will be hearing from Miranda Ashby who is the Group Director, and Matthew Fasnacht who is the Statewide Clinical Director of the Older Persons Mental Health Service. They will be talking to us about the Older Persons Mental Health Service, particularly:
- What it is
- How you can access support from the service
- How it supports your loved one and yourself
- What support it provides
After we hear from Miranda and Matthew, you will then have an opportunity to provide feedback on your experiences to influence positive change within the services as well as have your voice heard.
