Anti-Discrimination NSW invites you to a special event to launch our LGBTQA conversion practices ban Indigenous explainer video.

Conversion practices are harmful practices which seek to change or suppress an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity. They are sometimes referred to as ‘gay conversion’ practices or ‘conversion therapy’.

The Conversion Practices Ban Act 2024 (NSW) prohibits conversion practices and allows people to report conversion practices to Anti-Discrimination NSW, which can help resolve complaints through conciliation.

Join our host Steph Tisdell and guest presenters as they explore the new civil complaints scheme and the difference the conversion practices ban makes in helping people feel safe and respected.

Please feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues interested in learning more about the LGBTQA conversion practices ban.

Host

Steph Tisdell

Actor | Writer | Comedian

Steph Tisdell thought she’d be a lawyer before she became one of the brightest stars in Australian comedy, selling out award-winning live shows and having several viral sensations. With an ever-growing list of acting and writing accolades, Steph Tisdell’s star is on the rise. While she is best known - and loved - for cracking us up, an early interest in politics saw Steph enrol to study law.
