About the Event

The launch of CON|X marks a pivotal moment for youth justice reform in Australia.

Co-founded by Joe Kwon (CEO, CONFIT Pathways), Georgia Falzon (Director of Operations & Digital Transformation, Raphael Rowe Foundation) and David Cant (Program Manager, TEAF) - in collaboration with CONFIT Pathways - CON|X is a digital-first reintegration platform designed with and for young people leaving custody.

Every year, youth recidivism costs government, communities, and families millions - but more importantly, it costs lives and futures. Research shows that connection to education, employment, and community support dramatically reduces reoffending. CON|X makes those connections possible by placing young people at the centre of their reintegration journey, guided by principles of community, collaboration, and connection.

This invitation-only evening brings together leaders across philanthropy, government, corporate and the justice system to witness how lived experience, storytelling, and innovation can shift reintegration outcomes.

The Agenda

• Immersive art installation: Experience Contained by Benjamin Knight (Curious Tractor) and Nic Marchesi OAM (Orange Sky) in collaboration with CON|X - a transformative initiative focusing on empowering young people through community-led models and innovative approaches. The project aims to reshape futures by integrating lived experiences into systematic change, fostering connections, and promoting healing over harm.

• Introductions: Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Ren and Ben, Founders of ReLove, the social enterprise turning empty houses into fully furnished homes for families in crisis.

• Keynote: Dr Baz Dreisinger - internationally recognised justice reform leader and founder of the Incarceration Nations Network, working across 70+ countries to reimagine prisons and reentry. A Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, she also created the Prison-to-College Pipeline and brings a unique global perspective on what truly works in reform.

• Main Event: The Launch of CON|X - the centrepiece of the evening, co-founders Joe Kwon, Georgia Falzon, and David Cant will introduce CON|X: a digital-first reintegration platform designed with and for young people leaving custody.

• Fireside Chat: Together with young people who have recently left youth justice care and are navigating the realities of reintegration, alongside our technology partner Steve Hanna (Guident) and Cybersecurity Advisor Jamieson O’Reilly (Dvuln), this panel discussion will flow into a collaborative Q&A - exploring barriers, opportunities, and how digital innovation, security, and community collaboration can break cycles of reoffending.

• Networking reception catered by Plate It Forward, a social enterprise tackling hunger and employment insecurity in Australia, offering an inspired menu with impact.
