Coochie Hoochie Blues & Rock Festival
Event description
Get your Hoochie On: Blues & Rock Festival Oct 4 2025
Blues of the Bay, barefoot beats and sandy souls — that’s the spirit of this island festival. Music, community, and a big sound on a tiny patch of paradise.
Just seven minutes off the coast from Redland Bay, the quiet paradise of Coochiemudlo Island is about to turn up the volume. This October long weekend, the island will host the very first Coochie Blues & Rock Festival — a one-day music celebration bringing rhythm, soul, and barefoot rebellion to the shores of Moreton Bay.
Set in the island’s community heart, Viva Coochie, the festival is a fresh, grassroots event that blends legendary live acts with local flavour, laid-back island charm, and plenty of sun-soaked soul.
The inaugural line-up features a fiery mix of national icons and island favourites:
LINE UP
🎸 Kevin Borich Express
🎸 Tim Gaze (The Hoochie Coochie Men)
🎸 GMO$, Alex Kosenko, Silk ’n’ Oak
🎧 DJ Nudge — dropping mashups between sets with a cowboy hat and a disco twang
🎤 Acknowledgement of Country by GMO$ Jack Geronimos in his signature spoken-word-meets-hip-hop style
It’s a one-day escape packed with live music, open-air dancing, cold drinks, and chef-driven food — wild at heart, barefoot on the grass, and proudly unpolished. This isn’t a fenced-in event. It’s a backyard jam meets a soul revival — 100% community-powered with a side of fire and freedom. A family friendly event with a kids zone with fun activities and food and drinks made just for them.
