The Progress Association was first formed back in the early 1960’s and began as “Morwong Beach Progress Association” under the Presidency of Norm Pullen. In 1964 when they found they needed more members for a quorum, the name was changed to the Coochiemudlo Island Progress Association.

Our objectives are:

To identify community needs
To improve the quality of community life
To strengthen community identity and capacity
To protect the natural environment of the island
To liaise with government and other organisations
To support and engage with business and service providers to the island
To support and engage with local associations, clubs and organisations
To remain a-political, non-religious and non-sectarian
