Cooking Class: Sourdough Sandwich Bread at the Village Classroom
Description
Sourdough Sandwich Bread Workshop with Kala Riddle
Take your sourdough skills to the next level in this introductory bread-baking class with sourdough baker Kala Riddle.
You'll learn the basics of making your own naturally leavened bread at home from mixing, rising, shaping, long-fermentation, scoring, and storing your finished loaf. Different from a round load of bread, this bread has a simple technique for shaping and requires no extra proofing basket or baking pan.
Kala will guide you through the process step-by-step, as she demonstrates techniques, tips, and troubleshoots common sourdough bread-baking challenges.
Attendees will leave with an active sourdough starter ready to use, a detailed recipe, and the confidence to bake your own sourdough sandwich bread at home.
All ages welcome!
Refunds available 1 day prior to event, booking fees are non-refundable.
