Learn how to make Mahshi Koussa (Vegetarian Stuffed Zucchini) in an interactive workshop hosted by Siham and Justine of Dayaa School and Kitchen at Magenta House on the Sunday 23rd of March. Mahshi Koussa is an intricate Lebanese dish of zucchini filled with a rice and vegetable stuffing.
Join us for a nourishing afternoon of cooking and taste testing. Snacks will be provided and students will take home the food they make, as well as a custom-made, wooden engraved Mahshi Koussa utensil to continue to cook this dish at home! 👩🏽🍳❤️👩🏽🍳

About Dayaa School Kitchen
Dayaa is a cooking school run by Justine in collaboration with her mother, Siham, who runs the catering house ‘Sahtein Lebanese Feasts’. The school is their way to revive ancestral recipes from Lebanon that are being lost over time. 'Dayaa' translates to 'village' in Arabic.
About Magenta House
Step inside Magenta House, a gathering and knowledge-sharing space in Redfern, Gadigal land. Our programs come alive through intimate workshops, communal meals, talks, soirées, and reading sessions. Alongside this, we run an arts & culture Library, and a Shop stocking artisinal products and publications focusing on food cultures, heritage ventures and experimental publishing from Asia and Australia. Based in a domestic space, Magenta House is a synergetic site for ideas and conversations to ferment through encounters and collaborations.
