Indian Cooking Skills - Darfield
Event description
Professional chef Monika Rastogi of Food, Art, Science will teach you how to cook tasty and healthy Indian dishes. This may include semolina crepes/pancakes, potato cauliflower and spinach and kale saag with paneer (cottage cheese from scratch) or learning how to separate cream from whole milk, making cashew nut milk from scratch and dry masala potatoes. Along the way you’ll learn skills such as understanding the science of emulsion or colloid, understanding nutrients, different combinations for making rice and the science of mixing cornflour.
Both sessions are suitable for 6-14 year olds.
Please bring your own box/tupperware, cutlery, hand towel, drink bottle and apron (if needed).
