Cooking with Leftovers
Town of Victoria Park Admin Centre
Victoria Park WA, Australia
Event description
Every year, the average Australian generates 180kg of compostable food waste, much of which ends up in landfills. This waste takes a long time to break down and produces methane gas, which is 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Consequently, food waste contributes to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 80% of the Town's emissions each year.
At this session, presented by the Town in partnership with Urban Revolution, you'll learn to make delicious meals that make the most of leftovers, scraps and other food that might otherwise go to waste.
