You’re invited to take part in a practical, on-site workshop exploring low-impact fuel load reduction, hosted at the Capes Raptor Centre on Tuesday, 9 June.

If you manage bushland on your property and want to better understand how fuel reduction can be approached thoughtfully and responsibly, this workshop will provide practical insight grounded in the local environment.

Led by Zac Webb and the Undalup Association Cultural Conservationists, alongside Alysha Johnson and the Capes Foundation Conservation Team, the workshop will explore;

What fuel is present and how it is assessed
What needs protection and why
How access, water and infrastructure influence planning
How native vegetation, fauna and habitat values are considered
How weather and site conditions affect decision-making
Where local requirements and approvals fit
What follow-up is needed after works are completed

A practical guide booklet and instructional video will support the workshop.

Maximum of two tickets per business.

Please wear enclosed shoes suitable for walking through bushland. Safety glasses, gloves and masks will be provided.
