Cool People Saying Smart Things™ - April 2026
Description
Cool People Saying Smart Things™ — April 2026
Event Description
Cool People Saying Smart Things™ by UFO is not your typical marketing event.
It is a high-energy, low-pressure lunch gathering where amazing speakers drop the smartest insights they are seeing across their industries. No hour-long talks, just straight-up smart stuff you can use.
This time around, you will hear from leaders in business operations, financial strategy, and marketing — all in a venue with a canoe on the ceiling, incredible food (yes, empanadas), and a vibe that feels nothing like a conference room.
The crowd is a mix of marketers, creatives, freelancers, founders, and brand folks you actually want to talk to. And the food is legit. GF, vegan, and vegetarian options included. Your ticket price will be worth the lunch alone.
People keep telling us:
"Such a great event. Loved the casual but inspiring vibe and the smart speakers"
"I left with pages of notes and ideas"
"It was casual, creative, and full of people who actually get it"
Come for the smart things. Stay for the people and the empanadas.
Meet the Speakers
Becky Fromkes
EOS Implementer & Business Coach
Becky has spent more than 20 years leading and scaling entrepreneurial companies, including a $150M enterprise organization. Now as a certified EOS Implementer, she coaches leadership teams to cut through complexity, get aligned, and actually gain traction. She has worked with over 2,500 companies, helping them prioritize their most vital asset: their people. With a background in psychology and a natural spirit of curiosity, she connects dots most people miss.
Expect a talk that makes your Monday morning leadership meeting way more productive.
Sarah Grace Mohr
CEO of MACKEY & The Prosperity People
Sarah Grace runs two financial firms built around one mission: creating prosperity for small business owners, their companies, and their communities. Raised by a trailblazing entrepreneur (her mother founded the firm), she grew up playing hide-and-seek in the file room before eventually falling head over heels for the family business. She is a past President of Impact 100, an organization that has made over $5 million in transformational grants, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Goering Center for Family & Private Business.
Expect sharp, real talk about money, mindset, and what it actually takes to build something that lasts.
Scott Spjut
VP Marketing & Author of Marketing Isn't Special
Scott is a marketing leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning Fortune 500 enterprises, agencies, and global energy companies. Most recently he served as Interim Global VP of Market Development at ENGIE Impact, leading a 30-plus person team across integrated marketing, demand gen, sales enablement, and creative. A journalist turned marketer, he has built content strategies for brands like P&G, ExxonMobil, and Fifth Third Bank. His upcoming book, Marketing Isn't Special, captures what he sees as the conflicts and broken priorities in today's marketing world. Self-described curmudgeon.
Expect a refreshingly honest take on what actually works.
