Cooler, Greener, Wilder Youth - Biodiversity Bonanza 2026

Join us for the Cooler, Greener, Wilder Youth - 'Biodiversity Bonanza' excursion!

We’re getting ready for an exciting day where students will deepen their connection to nature and learn through Greeting to Spirit of Place and cultural education with Karl Winda Telfer, Burka Senior Man, Kanyanyapilla; guided biodiversity walks and activities with Green Adelaide's Flora Ecologist; learn about citizen science; participate in creative reflection; action planning; and more.

It’s set to be a hands-on, inspiring experience - so come ready to explore, get involved, and make a difference!

On the day, please aim to meet us at 9:10am near the North Adelaide Lacrosse Club carpark at the end of Kara Street, Gepps Cross. Registered schools will receive a map and further details. Our friendly Green Adelaide education team will be there to welcome you and help with the sign-in process.

Toilets and undercover facilities will be available during breaks for both students and staff. We recommend hats and sunscreen and ask that all participants bring their own allergy-safe snacks, drinks, and any necessary medications. These will remain your responsibility.

As we’ll be up and about throughout the day, please ensure everyone dresses for the weather and wears comfortable, enclosed footwear. The event will only be cancelled in the case of extreme weather, so be sure to pack raincoats if rain is expected.

To confirm your school’s participation, please register your students in Years 5 to 8 (total 10 students) along with any supporting staff.

Thank you, and we look forward to working with you soon!
