Event description

Children's Autism Foundation (now proudly integrated with Autism New Zealand) presents "Understanding Anxiety", a 2‐hour workshop for parents & whanau and any professionals who engage with children and young people on the autism spectrum. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of anxiety in autistic children and with simple & practical strategies to support your child or the children you work with.

  • Practical strategies & an anxiety "toolkit" to help manage/reduce anxiety & build resilience in children & young people

Plus plenty of time for Q&A at the end of the session.

    Facilitated by Jo Sutton

Please note that this workshop is interactive. This means that we invite you to respond to discussion questions, share your experience/opinion, and of course, ask questions of your own!

Unsure if this is for you?
No worries at all - your participation is voluntary! You may simply choose to sit back and enjoy. We will email out the presentation slides at the end of the workshop but you are welcome to take notes or photos. This is an autism-friendly workshop and you are invited to participate in whatever way makes you feel most comfortable.
