Event description
Using traditional silversmithing techniques you’ll use hammers to stretch the metal in different directions to make a small copper spoon out of one single piece of metal. Over the duration of the workshop you’ll discover how metal moves and the way hammers can be used to create different thicknessess and textures in metal.Â
Processes included are: planning your design eg. deciding on depth of the bowl and design of the handle, forging
metal, heating the metal to form it more, sinking the bowl, filing, sanding and polishing your spoon.Â

Bookings are essential as spaces are limited. Workshops are subject to minimum numbers for the event to
progress. You will be notified by either email or text if we need to cancel and an alternate date or refund
may be offered.
If you are unable to attend the session, tickets are refundable with 7 days notice prior to the event, otherwise, no
refunds may be given. You may transfer your ticket to a different workshop, please notify the organiser if
this is the case.
