Using traditional silversmithing techniques you’ll use hammers to stretch the metal in different directions to make a small copper spoon out of one single piece of metal. Over the duration of the workshop you’ll discover how metal moves and the way hammers can be used to create different thicknessess and textures in metal.

Processes included are: planning your design eg. deciding on depth of the bowl and design of the handle, forging metal, heating the metal to form it more, sinking the bowl, filing, sanding and polishing your spoon.

Length of workshop: 4 hours. Materials included.
