Copts In Need is a UK-registered humanitarian charity (Charity No. 1138357) dedicated to transforming lives and restoring hope for families living in extreme poverty across Egypt.

Our journey began in 2009, when our founding members visited Upper Egypt and witnessed families living in unimaginable conditions without safe housing, access to healthcare, education, or the basic necessities of life. Inspired to make a lasting difference, Copts In Need was established to provide practical, sustainable support that empowers individuals and families to build brighter, more independent futures.

Today, we work closely with trusted local partners to deliver life-changing projects including housing construction and renovation, education, healthcare, microfinance, emergency relief, and youth mission initiatives. Rather than providing temporary relief alone, we focus on creating long-term opportunities that restore dignity, promote self-sufficiency, and help break the cycle of poverty.

Governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees in the UK and supported by dedicated volunteers in both the UK and Egypt, we are committed to transparency and ensuring every donation has the greatest possible impact. There are no UK administrative costs, and less than 2% of our income is used to cover essential operational expenses in Egypt, meaning that over 98% of every donation goes directly towards funding projects that transform lives.
