Time: Please arrive early so we can start at 10am.
Parking: Limited off-street parking in car park.
Meet: Between the toilet block and the main gate into the Reserve
Wear: Comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes for the outdoors and suitable to the forecast weather conditions.
Please bring: water bottle, any medication, clothing suited to the forecasted weather conditions and extra layer for sun or rain protection. We usually continue in light rain.
What's provided: Insect repellant and sit mats.
What to expect:
During this guided group session, we walk less than 1 kilometer on relatively flat trails. We walk on gravel paths and along animal pathways. You will be introduced to the forest through a series of slow quiet experiences, as we wander and explore with curiosity. This session will include a short guided meditation, followed by a series of experiences to help you tune in with our senses and remember that you are part of the natural world. We will finish at 11.30am, with the option to stay for some chilled lemon myrtle tea. This session is suitable for participants 16 years and above.
Benefits:
Being outside in nature, using all our senses and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the forest has been shown to have many health benefits. Research shows that it can improved mental and physical health, reduce stress levels, regulate pulse and blood pressure and elevate mood.
Please contact Carolyn if you have any questions.
