    Event description

    We know that there are a lot of busy people out there who have had nagging thoughts about taking their business to the next level, or by launching a new innovative, scalable product or service. For the past 8 years, Y(E)P has held fully-funded Deep Dives on a range of topics from Finance to Marketing and everything in between. Each year at the Tropical Innovation Festival we offer a Deep Dive into Innovation into Small Business and Self-Employment targeted at local and visiting Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs who want to achieve more in their business, be inspired, learn new things and meet people who also have big dreams!

    We have designed this day to be useful regardless of your place in the business or innovation journey. A range of inspiring keynotes, informative panels and a "choose-your-own-adventure" style world cafe will ensure your head and heart are filled by the end of the day.

    We are excited to have world-class International Keynote Speakers -

    • Lucy Bloom who will help us be energised and think about how we can do business differently;
    • Tracy Sheen, as seen on Kochies Business Builders sharing her wisdom about incorporating AI into your business;
    • Derrick McManus who survived being shot 14 times sharing his tips to build our durability for peak performance and
    • Nic Marchesi, former Young Australian of the Year sharing how we can do well in business while contributing positively to the world.

    As an additional bonus, the Queensland Small Business Commissioner Dominique Lamb will be joining us to share her wisdom from her extensive experience in business and to hear about your businesses - there will even be an opportunity to share your business with a 1minute pitch to the room!

    A light lunch is provided. A longer lunch break is included to allow those attending the Cairns Business Women’s Clubs Innovation luncheon with keynote speaker Michelle Pascoe. https://cbwc.org.au/cbwc-events-page/ and for those wishing to view Vernon Ah Khee's exhibition at Bulmba-Ja.

    Tickets are at no-cost, but limited. With thanks to our partnership with The Queensland Small Business Commissioner, My Pathway and Launch Y(E)P.
