Event description

Ayam Masak Merah – Spicy Tomato Chicken & Sayur Lodeh – Vegetable Coconut Curry Stew

Nat, originally from Malaysia, moved to New Zealand two years ago and has made her home in the Waimakariri District.

Having grown up in Malaysia—a true food haven—Nat often finds herself missing the vibrant flavours of home. To ease the longing, she began learning to cook a variety of traditional Malaysian dishes.

For Nat, cooking is an expression of love, and she finds great joy in seeing others enjoy her homemade meals.

Join Nat for an evening of culinary exploration where you’ll make Ayam Masak Merah – Spicy Tomato Chicken, Sayur Lodeh – Vegetable Coconut Curry Stew and Teh Tarik – Pulled Tea.

Discover how Malaysian cuisine brings people together—fostering connection, friendship, and plenty of laughter.
