A Good Laugh - The Cheese Factory Studio Gallery, Meadows
The Event
A Good Laugh - The Cheese Factory, Meadows Saturday 9 May | Doors 7:30pm | Show 8pm
A Good Laugh heads to the Cheese Factory in Meadows for what promises to be a seriously good night.
Kel Balnaves steps up as MC, the laid-back, yarn-spinning regional touring legend who makes every room feel like your favourite pub. Two-time Adelaide Fringe award winner, certified funny bastard, and yes, he really does cook snacks on his car engine.
Clay McMath finds the humour in the parts of life most people would rather avoid - awkward transitions, quiet failures and identity crises - then sits in it just long enough to make it funny. Honest, dark and a little uncomfortable in the best possible way.
Jazz King deals in short jokes that take sharp turns. An ex-award-winning copywriter and 2025 RAW Comedy national finalist with credits on ABC's Gruen and Question Everything, Jazz has a quiet magnetism that sparkles with calculated mischief and diabolical innocence.
Emily Grace is an Adelaide comedy scene staple with a gift for letting jokes grow slowly until the room is completely surrounded by them. A double RAW Comedy State Finalist, two-time award winner and five-star Fringe favourite, Emily brings warmth, patience and a beautifully crafted set to the Cheese Factory stage.
Fabien Clark is one of Adelaide's most beloved storytellers, spinning sharp, funny tales about fatherhood, relationships and everything in between. A multiple Fringe award winner and comedy scene stalwart since 2004.
And closing the night, Mel Buttle, one of Australia's most loved comedians, with her brand new show Taking My Sunglasses Off To Hear You Better. Fearless, funny and completely frank, Mel is a superstar of Australian comedy, creator of the beloved online mum character Lyn, regular on The Project, and soon to appear in Taskmaster Australia Series 3. Sharp wit, clever observations and unapologetic humour. Do not miss this one.
