After a very successful recent grafting workshop and an August Advanced Grafting Workshop, by popular demand we are repeating the Advanced Grafting Workshop to give you further practice and teach more advanced techniques. The presenters are Andrew Thompson and Joe Kielnerowski from Joe’s Connected Garden and it will be held at Andrew’s Urban Farm where he can demonstrate some further advanced techniques in his own garden. Grafting is a very useful gardening skill to have, especially in these days of smaller house blocks as it enables one to grow several kinds of fruit on the one tree which is very handy when space is at a premium. It’s not as hard as it looks and you will have an expert teacher.

There are no pre-requisites for this workshop and beginners will also be taught l but you will get more out of it with some previous experience. Rootstocks and scion woods will be available for sale as well as grafting equipment such as knives and tapes. We start at 10.30am sharp so please arrive from 10am for introductions, coffee etc. A light lunch will be supplied and we finish around 2.30 pm. There will be an optional tour of Andrew’s Urban Farm at the end. Please enter through the driveway between Nos 45 and 47, go through the garage and turn right to the function room on the deck. The weather is not looking fabulous but we have a large indoor air conditioned workshop space where we can hold the whole thing indoors i necessary.

Instead of the usual normal price and concession price there are two new levels which we hope will enable everyone who wants to be able to be there make it.
