Event description
In this intimate session delve into the wonderful world of gin with this interactive experience like no other.
This 2 hour session you will get a birds eye view of a working gin distillery whilst also having the chance to create your own bespoke gin.
Our very own champion gin distiller, Derv McGowan, will run you through every step of craft distilling in a live distillation.
As a group you will choose the botanicals for the creation of this unique gin, partake in the gin distillation process, choose the name of the gin, bottle it, label it and take it home with you in a 100ml bottle.
You'll have the chance to work with Derv on a ‘micro-distillation’ in our copper test-still. After the botanicals have been added to the still, you will get the chance to explore the history of gin and the rise of craft distilling in Australia. All the while you can watch the distillation bubbling away and admire the process in action, before tasting the spirit as it comes out of the still at an unbelievably pure 85% ABV once the distillation is complete.
Whilst the distillation is in process you will also have the opportunity to do a tasting of 3 of Anther's most distinct gins and graze on some nibbles.
