Event description

Do you ever feel unsure how to respond when a child "acts out" during your ministry?

This practical and encouraging session is designed to equip you with real-world tools for handling behaviour in a way that builds connection and trust—not just compliance. You’ll learn:

  • Simple, respectful strategies that foster positive behaviour

  • Gain a understanding of learning difficulties some children face

  • How to create an environment where every child feels seen and safe

  • Ways to turn challenging moments into opportunities for connection

  • The link between behaviour and belonging

Whether you’re new to children’s ministry or have been leading for years, this session will help you grow in confidence and effectiveness.

Our main speaker this week will be Emma Diack from Manurewa Baptist Church. She brings years of experience in working with children and a passion for making meaningful connections with every child in our environments so they feel like they belong.

Let’s raise up the next generation—one connection at a time.
Bring your team, your questions, and your heart for kids!

Arrive anytime from 6:30pm. 6:45pm grab a Krispy Kreme Donut (non-donut option available) and a drink.

Opening session kicks off at 7:00pm so we keep to time!
