Blossom Valley - Friday 16 Sept
Event description
In 1994, inspired by visits to Japan, owners Mark and Fiona Rammell planted over 350 Sakura Cherry Blossoms in and we are now seeing their dream burst into life each Spring.
Blossom Valley is an annual spring celebration sure to put the spring in your step as you explore the 14 acres of garden with New Zealand’s highest number and density of mature cherry blossom trees in the one place. For just a short amount of time each year at Aston Norwood Gardens in Kaitoke, Upper Hutt hundreds of cherry trees come alive creating a canopy of pink blossom.
The event is carefully scheduled around the natural blossoming of the trees, with data from previous years informing the date selection. While the team at Blossom Valley do their best to ensure the ultimate blossom experience the timing of the bloom is up to mother nature.
Celebrate the end of winter and welcome in spring with the breath-taking blossoms at Aston Norwood Gardens in Upper Hutt at Blossom Valley.
Visitors to Blossom Valley can also enhance their experience with the food and drinks available in the onsite café and out in the gardens to enjoy under the blossoms themselves. For those who have been inspired by the gardens a visit to the family run garden centre before leaving is a must do!
