BMW Performance Center
Greer SC, United States
Add to calendar

Sun, Nov 8, 2:30pm - 3:30pm EST

Description

Support your favorite charity, with a big smile on your face.

Once again, BMW of North America will be offering Charity Hot Laps at the BMW Performance Center during the M3 Anniversary Festival! You have the opportunity to blast around the track with Bill Auberlen, Adam McGregor, or Mike Renner. Who could pass that up?

Your donation to the BMW Car Club of America Foundation gets you 2 and 7/8 laps of the full track at speed. If you've ever wondered what it's like to ride in the Z4 GTLM, E92 M3 GT, or the E46 M3 GTR Stars and Stripes car, here's your chance to find out.

But you need to act quickly and sign up now...our Charity Rides are a popular event and usually sell out.

Your donation to the BMW CCA Foundation home of Street Survival and The Ultimate Driving Museum will provide funding for your Museum & Archive (the largest collection of BMW literature and memorabilia outside of BMW AG) and Street Survival (a nationwide program that teaches real-world car control to teen drivers. Nearly 2,500 young drivers will receive a full-day of in-car training this year alone). Your help is needed to make that happen, so thank you!

BMW NA will bring the 2011 E92 M3 GT #56, 2015 E89 Z4 GTLM #25, and the 2001 E46 M3 GTR Stars and Stripes cars!!! Driving will be done by Bill Auberlen (E46 M3 GTR), Mike Renner, BMW Performance Center Driving Instructor (E92 M3 GT #56), and Adam McGregor, Head of BMW Motorsport North America (Z4 GTLM).

Please note:

  • Your ticket guarantees you the exclusive seat in the car for your high-speed hot lap!

  • All riders MUST be 18 years or older, no exceptions.

  • Everyone must visit the BMW CCA Foundation tent to check in.

  • Everyone will need to fill out a waiver for the BMW Performance Center and receive your ticket/wristband. Instructions will be given during your visit about where the rides will take place.

  • Please note that we are unable to issue refunds for no-shows. In case your plans change and you can't attend, please know that your contribution will be used to further our mission, and we will make sure someone else gets to enjoy the ride. We appreciate your generosity and the ticket price will be treated as a donation to the Foundation.

FAQs

Do I need to be registered for BMW Performance Center M3 Anniversary Festival?

Yes, you must be registered for the Classic and Motorsport Festival. You will have to sign an additional waiver provided by BMW NA. Register here for the event: Get Festival Tickets

Are there clothing requirements for the rides?

All riders must wear a helmet, either open face or full, Snell M or SA 2020 or higher. We will have a few loaner helmets available, but if you have your own or can borrow one, please bring it. With three cars running, there could be a shortage of loaner helmets.

A fire suit will also be required during the ride. You may bring your own or wear a loaner.

Shoes: must be closed toed and over the heel - no sandals, flip flops, or other open shoes.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

All participants must be 18 years or older, no exceptions. ID will be required.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Before November 8, contact Michael Mitchell, at michael@bmwccafoundation.org, or 864.329.1919. On the day of the event, visit The Ultimate Driving Museum tent in the vendor area at the BMW Performance Center.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

If you are transferring your ride to someone else, contact Michael Mitchell (contact info above) with the new rider's name and contact information. Again, any rider must be 18 years or older. Transferring will have to happen before signing the BMW NA waivers.

Is there a specific time for my ride?

Unfortunately, we can't give a specific time. It is a first come, first serve situation. If you are the third person to sign up for a car, you will go as soon as the second person gets out of the car. If you are not around, your seat will be sold to another rider. You are reserving a ride today by signing up. However, the true order will happen the day of the event when you check in at The Ultimate Driving Museum tent near the paddock area of the BMW Performance Center to sign your waiver.

May I sign up for multiple rides on the same day?

Yes, you can sign up for as many rides as you want. We'll do our best to space them out so you can go from one car to the next.

Is there a waiting list?

We won't have a waiting list. If sold out online, please visit us at The Ultimate Driving Museum tent. If we can squeeze in more rides, we will do so.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes.

Are there any refunds?

You may cancel up to Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5pm and receive a refund. Please email Michael (information above). A full refund will be processed. Please note that we are unable to issue refunds for no-shows. In case your plans change and you can't attend, please know that your contribution will be used to further our mission, and we will make sure someone else gets to enjoy the ride. We appreciate your generosity and the ticket price will be treated as a donation to the Foundation.
