Patrick Carroll's perspective on life was always centred on the journey itself rather than the destination and that the true reward lies not in reaching a specific endpoint but in savouring each moment along the way.
This monograph offers a glimpse into the unique and vibrant subjects that inspired Patrick to continue wielding brushes and paint.

In 1975 after 2 years in the Public Trust he left full- time work to become a full-time Artist. A boom time in the Arts provided not only a living but a new way of life for the Carroll Family. This book celebrates his career and love of Art.

With over 100 awards and commendations, including the Sydney Morning Herald Award the Acta Marina Award, a finalist in the AGNSW Wynne prize in 1973, 1986, 1987,

His life was cut short in 2019 when a fire trapped him in his Studio at The Entrance. He was about to embark on his next body of work. The fire began when a young boy set fire to a lounge outside his studio on a Sunday afternoon as he was finishing an artwork due at the Manly Art Gallery the next day titled - My Studio My Home.
