Event description

Healthcare professionals’ perspectives on the barriers and enablers of cancer clinical trial participation in the Australian Arabic-speaking community

We are seeking healthcare professionals working with adults (≥ 18 years) with cancer from the Australian Arabic-speaking community. The aim of this study is to try to understand the needs of
people with cancer from Australian Arabic-speaking communities and their interest in participating in cancer clinical trials. This will help us to increase the participation of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community members in cancer clinical trials with a view to improving health outcomes for all Australians.

Focus group discussion via Zoom. Participants who are unable to attend the focus group session will be offered the option of participating in an individual shorter interview at a mutually convenient time.

Who: Healthcare professionals working with adults with cancer from the Australian Arabic-speaking community. These include clinical specialists, general practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals and medical interpreters. We encourage you to share this invitation with suitable colleagues. All participants are required to register individually.
