Event description

Attend one of two Connect with Cambridge Community Forums to work collaboratively with other members of your community to review a new 10-year vision for the Town of Cambridge.

Everybody is welcome to attend one of the two community forums and actively participate in creating a Strategic Community Plan for the Town that reflects the aspirations and values of our community.

What to expect

The forums are for people of all ages and interests to connect with other members of your community and collaboratively review the draft 10-year vision and strategic objectives for the Town.

Discover the valuable insights we have gathered from our community so far, and how these inputs have shaped a draft Strategic Community Plan.

Learn how the Strategic Community Plan works to inform our future programs, projects and services and how it will link to a Corporate Business Plan.

We'll then ask you to share your thoughts on whether the plan we have drafted has accurately captured our community’s voice or suggest how the plan can improve.

During the forum, we will ask you to discuss and share your thoughts on three main things:

  1. Do you agree with the vision and outcomes we have drafted?
  2. Is there anything you would change, add or remove?
  3. From the plan we have drafted, what do you see as the top priorities?

Your input matters. This is your chance to make a lasting impact on the future of our community.

No special knowledge is required to participate in these forums.

About the Draft Strategic Community Plan

The Strategic Community Plan outlines the vision, outcomes and strategic objectives of the community over the next 10 years. It's a strategic roadmap of where the community want to go and what it will look like when we get there.

Read more about the project so far on the project page.

Do you need support to participate?

The Town is committed to ensuring opportunities for our diverse community to participate in the development of the Strategic Community Plan.
If you plan on attending a community forum and have any access or dietary requirements, please ensure that these are reflected in your event registration.

A staff member will be in contact to discuss your needs and how best to support your attendance, participation and comfort during the forum.

Alternatively, you may call the Town on (08) 9347 6000 to discuss how we can best support your needs, including alternative formats if you decide a forum is not right for you.

Can children and young people attend?

Young people under 16 are welcome to attend and even participate, however they must be accompanied and supported by an adult.

For parents with younger children, please ensure that the children are included in the registration form. A staff member will be in contact to discuss you and your child's needs and how best to support your participation and comfort during the forum.

Which forum should I attend?

The forums will include the same information and opportunities to provide your input, so participants should only attend one of the two options.

Choose the date, time and location that is right for you.
