CoPQTI Wear It Purple Day Open Mic
Description
Celebrate Wear It Purple Day with the UNSW Community of Practice for Inclusive Research with Queer and Trans People, and People with Innate Variations of Sex Characteristics (CoPQTI).
This open mic is a welcoming space for UNSW LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and allies to come together in celebration of pride, creativity, and community. Whether you would like to perform or simply sit back, listen, and connect with others, everyone is warmly invited.
Share your voice through poetry, music, spoken word, storytelling, comedy, or any other creative expression that reflects your experiences, identities, or hopes for more inclusive futures.
We are aiming to feature around 10 speakers, with approximately 5 minutes allocated to each speaker. We will do our best to accommodate everyone who would like to share, depending on registrations and time available.
Light catering will be provided, with time to socialise before and after the performances. Join us to celebrate Wear It Purple Day, support one another, and help create a campus where LGBTQIA+ people feel seen, valued, and empowered to be themselves.
