Event description

In response to the horrific suffering inflicted in Gaza and Lebanon, we are offering healing through art for women with Amani and children's art therapy with Rosette. These workshops are designed to provide a safe space for self-expression through art & art therapy. The women will be led by esteemed artist Amani Haydar. Children and young people will be led by certified art therapist Rosette Rouhana.

We invite women and children aged between 5 to 15 years old grappling with this moment to come together to heal through art. Express our collective grief and pain at bearing witness to these daily horrors through art.

This program is designed specifically for women and children, they run concurrently so that women have time off while children have access to art therapist sessions during school holidays, ensuring sessions are age-appropriate and sensitive to the needs of each group. Women will participate in their sessions separately from children, allowing each individual woman—including non-parents, guardians, mothers or children—to focus fully on self-expression and healing without distractions.

Each session runs from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Bankstown Art Centre, 5 Olympic Parade, Bankstown NSW 2200.

Given the general high demand for our events, we urge you to register as soon as possible to secure a spot. Don’t miss this opportunity to be provided with access to children's art therapy at an affordable price. Secure your spot today as spots are limited! We can't wait to heal together!

Spaces are expected to fill quickly, book now!
