LOST DOG TOUR FILM - THE GOLDEN AGE RESIDENCY (NIGHT THREE)
Event description
The LOST DOG TOUR was a risk. Isobel Knight took her sweet folk trio to America on a shoestring to participate in one of the oldest musical traditions; a band of song-makers going town to town singing to whoever would listen, in the age where the best advice for getting your music out there is to make videos in your room. Rosie Whatmuff captured the adventure that ensued on stunning Super 8 and has threaded together the story of that experience into an unmissable documentary debut. Go with the trio to a lobster-fishing island to stay and sing in a 100 year old cottage, to a college bar in Harvard Square, to sleep on the boards of the Bread and Puppet Theatre's ballroom, to welcome in the summer circus and out-run a flood. The premiere will be followed by a performance from the trio themselves, with a supporting set from the Sydney superstars Beryl.Â
This film, and the show that goes with it, are the culmination of a lot of blood, sweat, tears and joy. We hope you'll join us to celebrate the premiere of the LOST DOG TOUR FILM.Â
Zines of Rosie's photography are available for preorder now, and you can pick them up at the event; you'll also be able to nab a Lost Dog shirt hand printed by Isobel.Â
