Crochet Rag Rugs Workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Learn to make beautiful colourful rag rugs and bring warmth to your home. We’ll learn a simple crochet stitch using a large crochet hook and utilise second hand fabric to start off your own rug. This is an addictive winter hobby- the rug you’re making keeps your knees warm as you crochet, and the stitch is simple enough that you can easily watch tv at the same time.

Ticket includes a crochet hook to keep, instructions and the start of your first rug. Please bring your own pen, sharp scissors and water bottle.

All this is set in the grounds of Perth City Farm, non-profit community environmental centre that provides space and opportunities to cultivate connection, and educates and enables all of us to live sustainably with nature. Revenue generated from workshops supports our Farm.

Please note that masks must be worn when indoors at Perth City Farm run events and education sessions, including this one, unless you have a valid exemption. The WA mask mandate has ended, but case numbers are still high and we consider this measure a sensible way to keep our participants and staff safe. We know wearing masks can be annoying, but we also know that some in our community are more vulnerable to COVID-19, and the wearing of masks means everyone can participate in our events. Thank you very much for your understanding and ongoing support.
