Domestic Violence Fundamentals – Full-day specifically for First Nations staff

7.5-hour interactive workshop with group activities

Topics:

· Understanding Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and Abuse

· How to identify DFV

· Barriers to change and accessing services

· Responding to disclosures of DFV

· The impact of trauma on clients

· Children and Young People

· Workers - vicarious trauma and self-care

· Referral/support information for clients and workers

This session is designed to be more culturally appropriate with additional narrative and visual learning.

This training session meets the pre-registration requirements of RAMF training.
