Give old denim a second life in this fun and creative workshop led by Jo Thomas. Using recycled jeans, you will design and make your own unique denim bag, complete with hand-crafted details and clever pocket reuse.
No sewing machine is required. Jo will guide you through simple techniques such as making denim flowers, reusing pockets in creative ways and shaping your bag so it suits your own style.
This is a relaxed, hands-on workshop that celebrates creativity, skill building and waste reduction. A perfect introduction to textile reuse.
What You’ll Learn
• How to design and construct a denim re-use bag
• Creative ways to repurpose pockets and seams
• How to make denim flowers and embellishments
• Practical ways to keep textiles out of landfill
What to Bring
• Your own scissors
• All denim will be supplied by The Tinkerage

• Participants must wear enclosed protective shoes at The Tinkerage
