Older Adults in Boulder, We Want to Hear From You!

Rare opportunity to impact the future of Digital Inclusion within our state.

In collaboration with the Colorado Office of the Future of Work, Generation Exchange will conduct two listening sessions in June. Our focus? Shaping the future of Digital Equity for Colorado.

Who’s eligible?

Adults aged 60 and above residing in Boulder, Denver, or nearby areas.

What’s in it for you?

  • A chance to influence the future of digital infrastructure for older adults in Colorado.
  • Complimentary breakfast/lunch and refreshments. 
  • Support local community organizations by participating.

What does participation involve?

  • The listening sessions will be 60 minutes long, maximum of 15 participants per session.
  • You'll discuss specific topics in small groups and then share your responses with the group.
  • Sessions will be recorded to ensure we capture all valuable insights. All responses will remain anonymous.

What kind of topics will you discuss? Here are some examples:

  1. Which locations are most significant when it comes to accessing the Internet?
  2. What obstacles have you noticed in your community regarding internet access and usage?
  3. How understandable are public resources online to you and others in your community?
  4. What daily activities require your use of the Internet?
  5. What areas would you suggest improving for those with internet access in your community?

What is Digital Equity?

Digital Equity is a state in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy. Read more about Digital Inclusion in CO here. The three key components of digital equity include: 

  1. Access to affordable, high-speed internet 
  2. Access to affordable, web-enabled technology 
  3. Access to relevant and high quality, effective training and support for digital skill development and use
