Downer Group - QTMP Procurement & Tendering Training Workshop #1 (Supported by Supply Nation's Drive Program)

Supply Nation is proud to collaborate with corporate member Downer to deliver supplier tender training for Indigenous businesses.

This training is designed to assist Indigenous businesses in navigating the procurement and tender process for major projects, particularly the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), for which Downer has been awarded the contract. More information about this project can be found here.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the QTMP requirements, bid preparation, compliance with work health and safety (WHS) and environmental management systems, and more.

There will be two in-person training sessions held at locations near the QTMP construction sites:

• Wednesday 12 June 2024, 10am – 2pm, Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre, Maryborough QLD
• Wednesday 19 June 2024*, 10am – 2pm, Pimpama Community Centre, Pimpama QLD

*Upon completion of the training on the 19 June (Pimpama), suppliers have the opportunity to attend a short master class regarding Best Practice Principles (BPP), Best Practice Industry Conditions (BPIC), and best practice tendering run by the Master Builders Association of Queensland.

Additionally, an online workshop:

• Wednesday 3 July 2024, 10am – 2pm, via Zoom

Downer is committed to working with First Nations businesses wherever possible. This training will help Supply Nation Indigenous businesses to take advantage of opportunities available on major state projects.
